Terms and Conditions

This website is operated by Soledad Lorío, a Spanish teacher specializing in online Spanish instruction for children. By accessing and using this site or contracting any of the services offered, the user expressly accepts these Terms and Conditions.

Services Offered

Online Spanish lessons are offered for children and adolescents. The classes are primarily individual (one-to-one), tailored to the needs and interests of each student. Additionally, a free trial class is available upon prior registration through the corresponding form on this website. Booking additional classes after the trial class implies acceptance of these terms.

Payments

All class payments must be made in advance via bank transfer or any other payment application accepted in the United States. A specific period of one week is established to complete the payment before the class takes place.

Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds

No refunds will be issued once the service has been contracted, except in the cases provided for in this document. A class may be rescheduled if the cancellation is notified at least 24 hours in advance by sending an email to spanishwithsole@gmail.com. If this notice period is not met, the class will be considered as delivered, and no refund or rescheduling will be granted.

The user has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of purchasing the service, provided that no class has been initiated or partially consumed. Once the service has started, this right expires.

Classes will begin and end at the pre-established time. The teacher will remain connected during the first 15 minutes of the class; if the student does not connect during this time, the class will be considered delivered, with no right to a refund or rescheduling.

In the unlikely event that the teacher is unable to deliver a scheduled class, the user may choose either to reschedule the class or receive a full refund. Likewise, if a technical problem attributable to the teacher occurs (such as power outages, internet failures, audio problems, or other issues), the user will have the right to reschedule the class or receive a refund.

Requirements for the Proper Development of Classes

To ensure the proper development of the online Spanish classes, it is essential that the student has a suitable environment and the necessary technical means. Parents or legal guardians are requested to ensure a quiet, comfortable, and pleasant space free of distractions to promote the child's concentration and active participation during lessons.

From a technical standpoint, a suitable device such as a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet is required. The use of cell phones is not recommended, as their features may limit the educational experience. It is also the user’s responsibility to ensure a stable, high-quality internet connection, as well as the proper functioning of essential elements such as a microphone, webcam, and speakers or headphones.

The teacher is not responsible for technical failures, equipment limitations, or connectivity deficiencies attributable to the user that affect or prevent the development of the scheduled class.

Once the service has been contracted, classes will begin within a maximum period of one week from the date of purchase, unless otherwise agreed with the user.

Each purchased class package has a set validity period. If the user does not complete all classes included in the package within this period, the remaining classes will be considered forfeited and may not be rescheduled or refunded.

Materials Required for Classes

To ensure that Spanish lessons are effective, creative, and enriching, certain basic materials are essential. Parents or legal guardians agree to provide the child with the necessary materials for each session, such as: pencil, notebook, crayons, scissors, sheets of paper, and other simple school supplies. Additionally, for specific activities, color photocopies or particular craft materials may be required; these will be requested by the teacher at least 24 hours in advance.

Having these materials readily available not only facilitates the child’s active participation but also allows for the full benefit of playful, creative, and communicative activities designed to enhance language learning. The cooperation of families in this regard is key to creating an engaging, smooth, and customized class experience for each child.

Class Packages

To meet the diverse learning needs of each family, the following online Spanish class packages are offered:

10-Class Package

This package includes 10 individual lessons, available in either 30- or 55-minute durations, according to the user’s preference. The validity of this package is three months from the date of purchase. Classes must be scheduled within this period; once the term has expired, any unused classes will be forfeited and cannot be rescheduled or refunded.

20-Class Package

This package includes 20 individual lessons, also available in 30- or 55-minute durations. The validity of this package is four months from the date of purchase. To ensure continuity and progress in learning, a minimum frequency of two classes per week is required. This package also includes a personalized progress report provided at the end of the class cycle. Unused classes within the validity period will be forfeited, with no possibility of rescheduling or refund.

The prices of the packages vary depending on the duration of the classes and are communicated directly at the time of contracting, upon consultation with the teacher.

Free Trial Class

A free trial class is offered to each new student. To access this class, the parent or legal guardian must first complete the form available on the website. The purpose of this class is to get to know the student and explain the dynamics of regular classes.
